I have a dog grooming business and was looking for places that offer wholesale pet supplies to businesses. There is a lot of money to be made in all of the things people want to get for their pets. I supplement my monthly income from dog grooming by selling cute and functional pet supplies. A lot of people are actually into getting fashion accessories for their pets, especially dogs and cats. Collars and leashes that look like fashion designer pieces are very popular.
I sell a lot of collars that have gems or other decorations on them. For some, the more colorful the better. Now our dog has a plain red safety collar that will break away if he gets stuck on something when not wearing a leash. However, there are lots of pet owners that look at collars and leashes as fashion statements. Most of them do not live on a farm like we do. We do use footwear for our dog when we are hiking. It protects the pads of his feet. Other people want to protect the feet of their dogs, but they want the fashion flair too. Read more »

I remember there being a few grape vines when we moved here. The grapes were small, but they were very tasty. I ate a lot of grapes as a child, and my mother made a lot of grape jelly. When we began to take those vines and make more vines, we were able to grow a larger crop. The larger crop made it possible to make grape juice. The juice of these grapes is much better, in my opinion, than any commercial grape juice. However, every grape counts when making juice, so we invested in vineyard bird netting to protect the fruit.
Birds can decimate a grape crop. They are hungry, and they do not understand that we are growing this fruit to feed us. Sharing actually would not be a problem, but the birds eat what is there at the time they are hungry and then move on to what is available to them next. We put in a bunch of bird feeders to supplement what we were taking away by adding the vineyard bird netting. Read more »

From fishes that don’t really look like fish, to turtles that have soft shells and rabbits that look like the Sasquatch, mother earth really has some strangely cool animals that make the animal kingdom infinitely more interesting. These cool animals are fascinating in their own way and every one of them, no matter how weird-looking, has their own purpose. Below are 5 strangely cool animals you’ll surely find weird, but cool.
1. The Star Nosed Mole
Yes, this mole has a star (looks more like a sun, but whatever) for a nose that looks like it’s puckering up for a smooch. It can be found in the U.S. east coast and in Canada. This diligent animal can withstand severely cold weather and can burrow through ice effortlessly to get food or make a home.
2. Cantor’s Giant Soft Shelled Turtle
Also called Pelochelys cantorii, this soft shelled turtle is one of the rarest animals in this list. Although it looks like a sea turtle wit ha soft and flat shell, it is not, and prefers living in land near watering holes. It can grow to a whopping 6 feet in length and can be found in Cambodia.
3. The Axolotl
Also known as the Ambystoma mexicanum or Ajolote, the Axolotl is Mexico’s most popular mole salamander of the complex Tiger Salamander. They are aquatic and have gills since they don’t undergo complete metamorphosis (neotenic). They are commonly used for scientific studies since they have big embryos, easily bred, and can regenerate majority of their body parts. Axolotls are typically housed as pets in the U.S., Australia, Great Britain, and Japan among others.
4. The Angora Rabbit
It’s a Persian cat; it’s the Abominable snowman, no, it’s the Angora rabbit. The oh-so fluffy Angora rabbit was widely famous during the 17th century and 18th century and were kept as pets by European nobles. They are still popular pets up to this day.
5. The Hagfish
The Hagfish does not really look like it belongs to the fish family since it looks more like a leech or a worm. This animal makes use of a sticky survival strategy since it excretes a slimy substance once captured. This slime will then turn into a gel if mixed with water so that they can clean the slime off their bodies.
